Aviation Art – MotoArt’s new DC-4 Conference Table

We have earlier introduced you to the 747 Cowling desk and the Radial Engine Coffee Table from MotoArt, the company turns vintage aviation parts into fixtures for the home and office. The latest offering from the house is a 14’ DC-4 Conference Table, made with rudders of jets. The DC-4 desk is stylishly completed with the combination of mirror-polished leading edges and a pulsating powder coated treatment. The underside paneling is done with turned aluminum and the main frame is adorned with LED lighting. The legs of the desk are dual-aluminum I-beams, which are fused together, powder coated and then completed with polished aluminum and caps. MotorArt has many other fixtures made from jet scarp. One-of-a-kind Camera Watch from the 60’s for $60,000

Wristwatches fitted with high-tech gizmos is not a new thing to us, so what’s so special about this camera watch? Well, the Kilfitt UKA 659 camera watch is a one-of-a-kind prototype developed during the 1960s in the Munich laboratory of famed optician Heinz Kilfitt. The noteworthy thing is that it wasn’t that easy task to create a camera watch back in the 60’s. The trendy watch has a little analog camera attached to it, which touts a 1.3mm-10.5mm lens, shutter speed from 1/15 sec to 1/1,000 sec, and a custom film disc. Perfect for any Bond fan, the Kilfitt UKA 659 camera watch is up for sale on eBay for a whopping US $60,000. A reasonable price for a speactacular one-of-a-kind piece of history!

The Burj Al Arab has been hailed as one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Apart from the several lavish amenities it offers, it also has the honor of having the highest Tennis court in the world. The space, which is located about 210m in height, doubles as a helipad for emergencies or transit of guests. The luxury hotel has 202 duplex suites spread across 27 floors while the accommodation ranges between 170 and 780 square meters. Designed to bear a resemblance to a billowing sail, the hotel soars to a height of 321 meters, dominating the Dubai coastline.
