Play games for money

I was skeptical when I first joined Moolah.com but after playing for .. about 48 hrs! I was addicted to the games! What is Moola? Simple! You compete 1 on 1 with someone else in the net work, if you win 30 matches in a row, you win aproximately $10,000,000!

Before you get too excited, every match you win you double your money (starting from $0.02 ) the highest level I’ve gotten to is 8 ($2.56) but oh well, it was fun!

Just got this from Moola.com

“This upcoming Tuesday November 6th, from 6:00 pm to midnight (EDT), Moola will be holding its much anticipated fifth official Booster Blitz and featuring the first ever Invite Blitz. Come to Moola during the Blitz to cash in on the following:

More Game Boosters! Just like our previous events, you will be eligible for hundreds of bonuses in amounts of $2, $5 and $9 randomly. PC Dice – High Tech Troubleshooting

PC Dice (Image courtesy PCDice)
This looks like FUN!

You don’t need years of training in some fancy college to troubleshoot a sick PC. Not when you can simply throw a handful of dice and have just as much chance of discovering what the problem is. This set of 3 ‘Vegas-quality’ dice has random PC symptoms and solutions printed on each side, so the next time your boss has a problem with email, you can show them you’re really earning that IT department salary.

If you’re curious, the blue die includes the words Install, New PC, Upgrade, No Idea, Quit and $$. The green die includes Virus, Spyware, Modem, Video, Network and Reboot. And the red die includes Windows, Unix, Linux, Wireless, Wired and Mixed. Just think of it as a Magic 8 Ball for the tech world.

And while you’d think the PC Dice is something you’d find at ThinkGeek, they actually have their own dedicated website and are available for $26.99 per set.

MP4 Video Watch – Now With FM Transmitter!

Wrist Watch MP4 Player With FM Transmitter, 4GB (Images courtesy Gadget-usb.com)

While the debate continues over whether or not a video can actually be enjoyed on a screen this small, manufacturers don’t seem to care. Instead they just keep churning out newer and better video-capable watches, and at cheaper prices. The latest model manages to add an FM broadcaster to the long list of features, which can be used with audio files or the audio portion of MP4 videos.

At 1.8 inches in size the OLED screen has a resolution of just 160×128 pixels, but on the plus side that tiny screen means you can enjoy about 4 hours of video playback on a full charge. (Or 7 if you stick to just audio and keep the screen off.) The built-in 4GB of memory is not too bad either, particularly when you consider how small a 160×128 video must be, and supported file formats include MP3, WMA, MP4 (audio and video), JPGs and e-books.

The watch is available from Gadget-USB.com for just $126.

How to Make Your Own LED Snap-O-Lantern

Whenever I went trick or treating as a kid, the scariest houses were the ones that had decorations that moved, lit-up or made spooky sounds. When I first read about the robotic Snap-O-Lantern, I immediately thought of the furnace scene in Home Alone when Kevin imagines it lighting-up and attacking him. Now you can spook all the trick or treaters at your house by creating a one of a kind Snap-O-Lantern from a mini pumpkin. Evil Mad Scientist explains step-by-step how to transform a plain pumpkin into an animated masterpiece that will open his LED eyes and slowly open his jaw every twenty seconds, then snap shut—promising to scare the daylights out of anyone! Click here for instructions.

Bugs Mini Vacuum Is Like A Roomba For Your Desk

Bugs Mini Vacuum Cleaner (Images courtesy The Design Town)
Cute Vacuum!

Believe it or not, this bug shaped miniature vacuum is actually supposed to look like a caterpillar. But something tells me the designer has never actually seen a caterpillar, or at least only saw one after a beheading. Either way it’s supposed to be a convenient (and fun!) way to clean up food crumbs, pencil shavings or other crap that collects on your desk. While it’s not as convenient as the more popular method of simply sweeping it onto the floor, you’ll at least be able to annoy your co-workers with its powerful electric motor that also requires 2 AA batteries.

Now I’m not 100% sure if the Bugs Mini Vacuum is able to drive itself around your desk like a Roomba can, but with a $10 price tag I’m kind of doubting it. And that’s too bad because you can always use something else on your desk to distract you from being productive.

Make A Mixa – Cassette Shaped USB Drive

Make a Mixa (Images courtesy Magnetic North Interactive Ltd.)
Given my earlier post I guess I should declare this ‘retro audio cassette day‘ here on OhGizmo! And in keeping with that theme here’s a new way to enjoy audio cassettes, without having to deal with their craptastic sound quality.

The MIXA is basically a 1GB flash drive that’s been integrated into an audio cassette shell. The real appeal though comes with the MIXA website which allows you to interactively design a custom label for the tape. You can choose from a collection of pre-existing designs, which still offer a bit of customization, or upload your own images and graphics. Once the design is completed and the finished USB cassette arrives you can then load it up with your own ‘mix tape’ of MP3s.

The MIXA costs about $40 but includes worldwide shipping as well as a unique sleeve (also designed by you), a set of MIXA stickers and a USB extension cable.
